Call for articles, recordings and scores
There are no deadlines in 2008. Submissions can be sent anytime!
Revista Música Hodie is a Brazilian
scholarly journal, which publishes articles in Portuguese, English
and Spanish on music performance, musical analysis, music theory,
composition, music and technology, music therapy, esthetics
and musicology as well as interdisciplinary works evolving music.
Música Hodie´s Editorial Guidelines
1. The papers should be in Microsoft Word for
Windows (or compatible), font Times New Roman size 12,, space
1,5, with 8 to 20 pages (exceptions will be evaluated by the
Editorial Committee), musical examples, figures, tables, abstract,
vitae, footnotes and bibliographic references included.
2. Examples (musical examples, tables and figures
are all called Ex.) should be numbered and have a clear and
concise heading with 3 lines at most (Font Times New Roman,
size 10, single-spaced), presented in the text and in separate
files.
3. For additional information, comments or
references to quotations ONLY ENDNOTES (font Times New Roman,
size 10, single-spaced) should be used. The complete bibliographical
references should be placed at the end of the text (e.g., GRIFFITHS,
Paul. The String quartet. New York: Thames & Hudson, 1983).
4. An abstract with about 100 words (Times
New Roman, size 10, single-spaced) and keywords (3-6) should
be presented in both Portuguese and English before the complete
work, after which should come the author´s vitae (Times
New Roman, size 10, single-spaced, up to 10 lines).
5. After being proofread, the originals should
be submitted to Revista MUSICA HODIE (e-mail only) to the editor
at soniaraybrasil@gmail.com, containing the title and author´s
name, address, telephone, fax and e-mail.
6 – Scores submissions to the review
section (Primeira Impressão) should be sent in Finale
Format (or pdf) via e-mail to the editor. Composer should also
send a short bio (approx. 150 words) and a text about the work
(approx. 500 words).
7 – For the Session Other Words, Musica
Hodie accepts academic works about Music and its Interfaces
that are not exactly scientific such as interviews, surveys,
reference lists, reports of experiences or performances, etc.
The author can choose if it is necessary to include photos,
bibliographical references, scores, notes. The text should be
submitted with an Introduction followed by its version in Portuguese
like an abstract.
